Itinerary

Day 1 – The Bucegi Mountains

On our first day together we will start our e-Bike trails high up at 2000m on the Bucegi plateau. In order to save some time we will reach this starting point by taking the cable car from the town of Sinaia. After reaching Omu peak (2505m), the highest point in this mountain range, we shall take on the best singletracks the Bucegi mountains have to offer.

As an option, a SUP session on a hot summer day is more than welcomed. In the second part of the day we will cool down and relax in maybe the clearest lake in the country.

Day 2 – The Baiului Mountains

Our second day is dedicated to the neighboring range, closest to Bucegi, The Baiului mountains. We’ll start our ascent from the town and popular ski resort of Azuga. The highlight of the day will be when we exit the forest right into the high alpine area where the 360 degree view  will offer us a very different perspective on the surroundings – Ciucas mountains, Neamtului mountains all the way to the Piatra Mare and Postavaru ranges. The descents will be on the same trail where the first mtb competition in Romania took place – Surmont 1999.

Day 3 – The Ciucas Mountains

Our ascent will start from the foothills of the mountains all the way up to Bratocea ridge. From here we have at least three different descent options – off-road trails that were made for one of the stages of the National Enduro Championship – Ciucas Enduro. It’s time to show us what you got. The mystic scenery and spectacular geological features of the Ciucas range will surely keep your energy high for a full day of riding. If not, the local sheep dogs will definetly keep you on the move.

Mountain Guide & MIAS Mountain Bike Leader

Enduro biking and splitboarding are part of me, they define who I am. For me, they are more than just a way to escape crowded and overused resorts. They are a way to push limits and get out of the comfort zone, a way to explore and to discover.

That perfect mix of silence and grandeur that only a mountain can offer, the freedom to climb on your own, to define your route and follow it, the power to use your body strength to move forward and to enjoy downhill rides and fresh turns, no matter what season is out there – this is what defines me and what I want to share. The path is the same, only the texture is different.

What our happy adventurers have been saying about our tours

I’m from Brasov and I wanted to try the Blue Line in Postavaru for some time. Some friends from Brasov recommended Massif Experience to me, I was lucky with a cancellation and found an instructor for the next day. Until then, I had been on XC trails quite a lot, but I had not yet tried a more enduro trail.

Well, in a 4-hour session with Ciprian Popescu I managed to do several descents. If I were walking alone, I would probably make a descent on foot and leave the puddle :). The technical advice related to the position on the bike, cornering, braking, etc. were very well explained.

In general, I don’t write reviews unless the experience was “wow!” and in my case it really was!

Thank you Ciprian & “Massif Experience”, keep in touch!

Massif Experience has it all: Marius is a good trail connoisseur (knowing exactly where to take you, based on your experience, riding style and terrain preferences), a nice guy whom you can have some valuable chats with during fireroad climbs or lunchbreak, and a terrific trip organizer.
His bike fleet is up to the task and on par with his personal traits that make him one of the best guides in Braşov.
Whether you’re a MTB newbie and want just to coast on some easy trails or a hardcore gravity junkie, looking for some steep gradients and chunky rock gardens, he will surely find a way for you to get acquainted with Braşov’s trail offerings, beautiful surroundings and get that blood pumpin’ !

    Please choose your skill level
You own a mountain bike and use it at least once a month. You like getting lots of kms under your belt off-road and want to ride more singletrack to broaden your mountain biking skills.

You’ve been a regular mountain biker for over 2 years. On average you mountain bike once a week through the season and you’re used to riding a variety of singletrack and double track trails

You’re an experienced mountain biker, comfortable on most types of terrain. You ride at least twice a week through the season and will have a go at moderate technical features, such as rock gardens, small drops, roots and steep singletrack

You are confident handling most types of trails and obstacles, including drops, logs, switchbacks, larger rock gardens and sustained technical singletrack. You ride at least 3 times a week and rarely get off and walk sections

You can tackle anything the trail throws at you and have experience of riding all types of trail and obstacles (large, loose rocks, roots, drop-offs, logs, north shore, steep chutes…). You ride 4+ times per week, in all weathers, and you’re happy to ride all day long, for several consecutive days
