Meet Marius, Your Main Guide

Marius is born and raised in Brasov and a fan of both mountain biking and skiing.

He founded Massif Experience back in 2016 with a single goal in mind: to give tourists a more exciting way to discover the Carpathians, other than by car.

Needless to say, he knows the mountains around Brasov better than his own house.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should take a splitboard lesson?

If you’re a fan of how easy it is to climb with skis, but you love the speed and fun of riding a snowboard, splitboarding is the perfect match. It’s fun, easy, and allows you to have more diversity in the backcountry.

Do you also provide the splitboard equipment?

Yes! You can rent all the required equipment to come on the splitboard lesson. If you have your own, you’re more than welcome to bring it. After all, it’s best to learn on the tools you already have.

Is splitboarding more difficult than skiing?

No. In fact, splitboarding is a lot easier because you’ll get to climb uphill on skis instead of boots, which is a whole lot easier.

Where will the splitboard lessons take place?

We’ll go to Sinaia, Postavarul, Azuga, or nearby hotspots for skiers, snowboarders, or splitboarders. Based on your level, we’ll decide what’s the best environment where you’ll learn most, and we can even go into the backcountry.

How many people are on a course?

For this splitboard lesson, the maximum number of people allowed is 5. If you have a larger group of people you’d like to bring, talk to us and we’ll come up with a solution to fit your needs!
