Meet Marius, Your Main Guide

Marius is born and raised in Brasov and a fan of both mountain biking and skiing.

He founded Massif Experience back in 2016 with a single goal in mind: to give tourists a more exciting way to discover the Carpathians, other than by car.

He spends 60% of his summer in Postavarul Bike Park, and the rest on other MTB trails in Brasov.

And no, he sleeps at home and not on the trails.

Discover Postavarul Bike Park

Postavarul Bike Park will be the highlight of your MTB trip to Brasov. Wood berms, tables, jumps, and a lot of features that’ll test your skills and challenge you to send lines you wouldn’t otherwise. You’ll find blue lines, red lines, black lines, and soon a green line. The cost of a bike pass in Postavarul Bike Park is between 25 and 8 euros, depending on your option.

Postavarul Bike Park Trails

Here are the most popular bike trails in Postavarul Bike Park. Please note that there are more trails that didn’t make this list, and you’ll easily find them all in the bike park, as they’re signaled very clearly.

NH DH is a double black line that’s always used in mountain bike downhill competitions. It has bigger jumps, a lot of offcamber and rock garden. For the NH DH, you’ll need a really good bike and full protection equipment. It’s a double black line in the truest sense of the world.

Named like this because the trail was donated to the city. It’s an easier downhill, much easier than the NH DH which is a race track. The top section is rooty, with a few jumps, some tables, and plenty of off-camber bits. Then, further down, it turns into a snake-line through loose rocks.

Blue Line is a long mountain bike trail, the longest in Postavarul Bike Park. It also has some red-line sections. It has many berms and plenty of tables you can either roll or send. It’s a super popular mountain bike trail in Postavarul Bike Park, and it’s always in top shape since the crew works on it constantly.

Redline is more of a singletrack here in Postavarul Bike Park. The first section is super rough, with a big wooden wall ride and plenty of drops. The second section turns into a long off-camber single, full of rocks and roots. It’s a fun, challenging, and must-try line here in the bike park if you’re an avid fan of mountain biking.

There are more trails in the bike park, but the NH DH, City’s DH, Blue Line, and Red Line are the most popular ones. There are also some nice natural trails that are accessible with the cable car. Some of these trails go all the way from Postavaru to Brasov city center. The trails have blue, red, and black features. Take care, on these natural trails we may also run into people on foot, and you need to yield.

Of course! You can book this tour for as many days as you’d like. However, please note that the guides may change depending on their availability and the tours booked in that period of time.

How will the tour go?

In the morning (or whenever you’re ready to begin) we’ll take a shuttle from Brasov to Poiana Brasov. From there, we can ride the cable car up to Postavarul. We can do as many laps as you want, with a short break in-between each ride. We usually start in the morning because the weather is cooler, take a short break for lunch, and continue until later at night.

Is this an E-bike or regular MTB tour?
This is a mixed tour of both e-bikes and regular bikes. You’ll need at least 160mm of travel front and back and a reliable mountain bike that you can trust. We’ll ask for your type of bike to ensure you’re properly equipped for this trip.
How difficult will it be?
It depends on your skill level and experience. Because it’s a bike park, there are all sorts of trails, some harder than others. We’ll take it slow, from one that’s less challenging to riding all the black lines available.
