Mountain Guide & MIAS Mountain Bike Leader

Enduro biking and splitboarding are part of me, they define who I am. For me, they are more than just a way to escape crowded and overused resorts. They are a way to push limits and get out of the comfort zone, a way to explore and to discover.

That perfect mix of silence and grandeur that only a mountain can offer, the freedom to climb on your own, to define your route and follow it, the power to use your body strength to move forward and to enjoy downhill rides and fresh turns, no matter what season is out there – this is what defines me and what I want to share. The path is the same, only the texture is different.

Mountain Bike Instructor

Hey! I’m Ciprian Popescu, the only mountain bike instructor you’ll need to learn this sport. I started mountain biking in 2005 when I returned from the USA, but in 2006, I decided to give more of my time (and money) to this sport. I attended my first contest in 2008, and soon after that, I was vice-national champion in the category twice. In 2014, I moved to France, to Chamonix, to spend even more time mountain biking and snowboarding. I spent 3 summer seasons in the bike parks of Porte du Soleil, Champery, Morgin, Pila, and Finale Liguere. In 2018, I made my dream happen, and I traveled by campervan to the most famous bike parks and locations in Canada, such as Jasper, Banff, Revelstoke, Kicking Horse, Blue Mountain, Silver Star, Squamish, and the most famous of all, Whistler. I love this sport so much that I find pleasure in teaching it to others. I do it out of passion but also for the mental reward that positively moves me when I see my students succeed.

All Day I Dream About Ski 😊 or the most pleasant way to waste time (winter and spring) and the place where my mind escapes every time it has time! Also, challenges are my life and I’ve always loved testing and pushing my limits, and the mountain was the perfect terrain to do that. Not to waste time, it was simple: skiing + mountain = love = backcountry skiing!

Ski instructor / Postavaru, Poiana Brasov Resort

Growing up in Brasov area I was always surrounded by nature, forests and mountains have always been my playground. Regardless of the season, I always found something fun to do up in the mountains, whether it was winter on skis or summer on bicycle or hiking. For me, FUN has always meant: nature, peace and quiet and fresh air. Even though the road might be sometimes difficult to my desired destination the mountainous landscapes have always rewarded my efforts. Today I’m really glad that I can share my love and experienced gained in time in Romania’s mountains.

Aspirant MTB Guide

I was born and bred in the town of Bran so it’s no wonder that bike riding and skiing were a big part of my life from the very start. Since my childhood revolved around nature, my love and also my respect for it kept growing. As an adult, I have seen no change. I feel free and at peace when I’m in the woods no matter the season. The mountain fuels me with the energy I need to deal with the mondane city life. Having nurtured mtb riding since a child it evolved into much more than a hobby, a way of life.
